On Friday, March 21st, 2025 FABS hosted a Quiz Night within the Junior Hall at Burleigh School hosting nearly 40 members of the parent, staff and Cheshunt community.
The event raised nearly £300 to benefit our £10k fundraising drive to improve outdoor education at the school.
Just as importantly, all parents of Burleigh school should be proud and delighted to know that the Burleigh School staff team – Quizterious Minds – were the winners, beating out 5 teams of parents and alumni parents in a close competition. Their history knowledge sealed the deal and helped propel them to victory.
Many thanks to Mr. Norman and the leadership team at Burleigh School for allowing the parents to use the facilities. We’d also like to express our deep gratitude to the site manager Billy who helped us to set up and tidy up the event.
The event was the brainchild of quizmaster Donna Budd who did a phenomenal job hosting. Many thanks to the FABS team members and event participants who helped to fundraise, organize the event and appropriately recycle the empty beverage containers.
Our 50/50 raffle on the night helped to raise some additional funds as the winning Burleigh parent took home nearly £70. The last place “winning” team took home wooden spoons for their efforts.
